Serendipity

According to Mr. Webster, "Serendipity is the faculty or phenomenon of finding valuable or agreeable things not sought for."

Still another interesting definition comes from Mr. Julius Comroe Jr. He said that "Serendipity is looking in a haystack for a needle and discovering a farmer’s daughter."

But my favorite definition of all time comes from a scene in the movie "Serendipity (2001)", in which a friend gives John Cusack a mock-obituary: "Life is not merely a series of meaningless accidents or coincidences. But rather, its a tapestry of events that culminate in an exquisite, sublime plan... If we are to live life in harmony with the universe, we must all possess a powerful faith in what the ancients used to call "fatum", what we currently refer to as destiny."

I believe that each and every one of us are destined for greatness. Destiny calls. But it's how we respond to the call that makes us, or breaks us.
